Fall Fashion 2015

Hey everyone! Welcome to the official blog for Walker Boutique. We are so excited to begin this blogging journey with all of y’all and are happy you stopped by to join us! My name is Beth, and I am one of the baristas for the cafe inside of our boutique. I will be writing posts for this blog alongside Sydney and Mrs. Devra, who will introduce themselves in their first posts. To quickly introduce myself, I am a junior at Georgia Southern University, majoring in exercise science. I enjoy blogging, hiking, and indulging in good coffee at Market District Cafe.

To get this blog rolling I wanted to start with a post that is something on everyone’s mind – fall fashion. We are a few weeks into fall and in Statesboro, Georgia, it is finally beginning to feel like fall. Because of that, it is essentially time to put up the summer tanks and break out the fall vests!

This fall the style is centering around neutral staples with only a few statement pieces thrown in. We are seeing a lot of cognac and taupe colored items, and suede and fur are taking over the texture department. One of my favorite bloggers, BrightonTheDay, created this graphic that shows the top items for the fall, and I think she nailed it!

While a list of must-have items is great for shopping, sometimes you need to see how to style these items before you decide if you are going to purchase them. We decided to ask a few of our boutique associates to style their favorite fall pieces in order to share with you.

plaidvestThe first outfit utilizes several of the fall basics including a plaid top and cuffed skinny jeans. The top was paired with a suede and fur vest and the outfit was brought together with a cute pair of suede fringe booties. This outfit is perfect for any fall outdoor activities such as pumpkin picking or bonfires.

The second outfit our boutique associates chose was a simple, loose-fitting, long sleeve dress paired with an oversized blanket scarf and cognac booties. The scarf and booties definitely give this slightly dressy a fall feel.

The last outfit put together by our associates is a simple, everyday look. The girls paired dark wash skinnies with a utility jacket and blanket scarf. This outfit is perfect for throwing on to run to the store or go to class in when the weather is a bit chilly.
